1. Did you date someone from your high school?
Yes, there was a few, but too much drama. To Quote Nada Surf "I propose that we support a one month limit on going steady" :D
2. What kind of car did you drive?
Gee. I had two older brothers in high school and we always shared a car. First it was a two door coupe called a Laser. That poor car did not survive teenagers too well and we ended up with the family minivan. I do not know why people make fun of me for it now. It was the party van. That’s how we got to all the dances. In Seattle, we had a youth dance somewhere every Saturday except before Fast Sunday.
3. Were you a party animal?
Not really. But I liked to think I was.
4. Were you considered a flirt?
Yeah right. I liked a lot of girls, and a lot of girls liked me, but never the same ones. So I never flirted with anyone.
5. Where you in band, orchestra, or choir?
I was drafted from my guitar class to our concert choir. My guitar instructor (the choir director) said he would not teach me guitar because he wanted me in choir. He then yelled at me for being Mormon because seminary prevented me going to men’s choir before school. But he later got me in to the after school show choir. Oh the stories to tell.
6. What was your most embarrassing moment in high school?
I almost peed in the sink on my first day thinking it was a trough type urinal, but no one saw that one. The one everyone saw: In every rehearsal and even the performances I missed my queue to enter stage left and emphatically shout "Look!" just after the young couple got back together. One night, I preempted the queue and interrupted the love song.
7. Were you a nerd?
Nerd with respects to being the smart kid, yes. Nerd with respects to getting good grades, no. Nerd with respects to being the kid all the popular kids made fun of, yes.
8. Were you on varsity teams?
Nope. I tried wrestling, but had to stop just as the meets started.
9. Did you ever get suspended/expelled?
I was too timid to cause trouble. I got detention a couple times trying to be "cool." The detention part was easy, the regret of doing something obviously stupid and petty is what kept me straight.
10. Can you still sing the fight song?
Yeah, I know we had one, but I think the band geeks were the only ones who knew it.
11. Who were your favorite teachers?
My Freshman and Sophomore math teachers were hot! My Senior English teacher was really cool. He had very high expectations, praised those doing well, but never demeaned or belittled anyone for doing poorly (often me). He gave extra credit for dressing professionally. I thought that was awesome! Then there was Mr. Richter. After his physics class I took his advanced robotics class. A very nice and engaging teacher who never bent on his rules.
12. What was your school full name?
Freshman years was Naaman Forest High School. After that is was Charles A. Lindbergh High School
13. School mascot?
Ranger, Bald Eagle - respectively
14. Did you go to the Homecoming dance and with who?
I went to my own home coming dance my Junior years with Shannon. My Senior year I went with Vicky and to another homecoming with a Cristina.
15. If you could go back, would you?
Ummmmm... why on Earth would I want to repeat life? That would be the cruelest thing to do to someone. It makes me think of "Groundhog's Day."
16. What do you remember most about graduation?
SENIOR PARTY!!!
17. Where did you go senior skip day?
Senior skip "DAY?" Our teachers were so eager to get rid of us they were happy to let us skip whenever we wanted.
18. Were you in a club?
Not officially. Most of my friends were in clubs and I pitched in when I could. I spent my time as Student Body Government Senator representing my homeroom class.
19. Have you gained some weight since then?
I know I wrestled at 135lbs. At the MTC I went from 145 to 165 and then back down once I realized how much I gained. Now I am a steady 170-175.
20. Who was your prom date?
I took Vicky to our prom and Shannon to her prom.
21. Are you planning on going to your 10 yr reunion?
Gee. That would be next year. Only to give me a reason to visit Seattle.
22. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?
Choose a career early. Decide what to be even if it does not work out in the end. Shoot for the stars. Surround yourself with those who appreciate your pursuit, those who encourage and motivate you, those who are ahead of you in the game to pull you forward and those who are behind you in the game to lift them up.

Very great post and that is excellent advice! Thanks for sharing!
I like the Nada Surf quote. That is a great song.
I remember being a part of the Laser and party van days. We had some good times... I still remember nights where we guessed wrong about where the dance was and ended up watching a movie at your place. Or going to Subway after the dances and me getting in trouble. Oh the joys of high school. :)
