I know it is unfair to Wednesday for me to make this declaration because I know this is no fault of Wednesday's. Nonetheless, it is official. It was not always this way. There was a time when I was flying that I would joke that I played five days worked one, and rested another. After that I worked as an immigration law clerk. There was so much work to do that I actually dreaded the approaching weekend because it represented deadlines. Then, Wednesdays were wake up calls to remind me I've got a lot to do. Now my job is mundane. At 7am I wake up. By 8 I'm ready to start the day and get breakfast. I clock in at 8:30 and make sure all the rooms have little baggies and other supplies. We start seating people at 9am. From 9am until 1pm I am walking, directing customers where to sit, persuade to stop watching the highlights from last night's game so they can meet with customers, explaining why it takes more than 4 minutes for a buyer to meet with them, get griped at if 1 of the 9 buyers (5 of witch are senior and run the office work Via YouTube) is having a less than stellar day or I was not right where he needed me right when he needed because another buyer needed me first. I take a 20min paid lunch and head back out to the same until 6pm.
This experience has taught me a few important lessons. Walking (note that I am not allowed to stand still) for 9-10 hours per day 6 days per week takes its toll. I actually stretch every morning and night. It sounds namsy-pamsy, but it make a difference. I have also learned that nutrition become important to maintaining energy throughout the day. Too much or too little of breakfast or lunch also take their tolls. By Wednesday, if I do not keep on top of these things, I crash! Exacerbating the problem, so do the buyers and they get grouchier. BUT Tomorrow is Thursday, meaning only three more days until we break to pack up, load up, haul, unload and unpack for a day and do it all over again.
Conclusion: My job sucks! Honestly, I love my job, but when I sincerely evaluate what I am doing, it is NOT where I want to be.
Resolution:
This is where the real fun comes in. I am finding a new job. "What job?" you ask? Well, It's time for me to throw a lot of logs on the fire at once.
I've got my resume in with University of Phoenix as a Project Coordinator. I had a phone interview last week. The gentleman said he will be calling me back to set up an in person interview (thanks for the lead Em).
The very recently retired Assistant Chief of Police for the Dallas Police Department is a very close friend of the family and is now my stake president. I will be working with him applying with DPD. I have wanted to work with a police department since I finished flight school in 2004, but I was told is was extremely dangerous. Once I concluded was not the case, I began applying for LAPD, but the timing just was not right. Now I will be applying with Dallas, Garland, Richardson, Ft. Worth, and a few other Police Departments in the area.
Additionally, I am getting my aviation resume put back together and will start flight instructing as often as I can on the side. I will be putting my resume in with ATP (the flight school I went to) as a senior flight instructor. I will also be following up on some flight positions I've been getting word about.
Any of these opportunities will provide the financial strength, schedule, benefits and personal challenges and satisfaction that I am looking for. And now that it is written for the world to see, I know I better do it! Wednesday, come she will, but I'm ready it!

That stinks, I used to love Wednesdays for Top Design and Project Runway and now that it is over I have replaced this with reruns of Gilmore Girls! Just give yourself a middle of the week treat, even if it is reading a book, working out, sleeping more, etc.. Whatever floats your boat and that is how you end up loving everyday of the week! haha :) Or you can just hate Wednesday. Good luck on the job search!
Branson is getting close to finishing a new airport.they will be setting that up soon and hiring for all positions related to an airport. Maybe job oppertunities there?? I hate Tuesdays! the weekend always seems to catch up with me.
I agree wednesdays are the worst. Thursdays are my favorite though. Well, they used to be.
