To play the game, here are the first eight quirks of mine the come to mind. The only order is which came first. Otherwise, it would take me a solid week to get this done :)
Quirk 1
I am very particular in my sleeping habits. I can sleep through natural disasters and the loudest of noises. However, if I suspect I hear someone screaming, or that someone might somehow be in danger, I wake without a stutter. Just the other night I was exhausted and had gone to bed before 10pm. Sometime around 11:30 I woke because I heard a scream/yell. It is a very short distance from my bed to my door, but without slowing I was still dressed by the time I opened it. I listened to my mom's room and my brother's room and heard the yelling again, clearly from outside. I walked out the front door and saw that a block away the neighbor kids were playing out front. I carefully surveyed the scene to make sure nothing was really wrong and went back to sleep.
Quirk 2
I love cold weather. I remembered this one this morning. A cold front came through last night and I got to walk outside and experience it. There is just no way to express it. I love the nearly piercing chill on my skin and the smell of cold. The air looks clearer, sounds are crisper and flavors are more robust. I am so thankful to be back where there are more than just four seasons of summer. Okay, I'll stop before I expose too much. BUT, this is cold weather I am referring to, distinctive from a cold room or house.
Quirk 3
Throughout my life I have developed a great appreciation for how things were; you know, back in the good old days. I have always looked to older generations for an example, and guidance. I have always trusted the wisdom of experience over the ideals of youth. For this reason, I strive to emulate the ideals of yesteryear by adapting many of the same customs in my own life. I prefer to be "respectful" and "proper" when dealing others. I love the etiquette that has become an icon of antiquated principles. Though I consider it a virtue, it is clear among my peers that it is a quirk.
Quirk 4
I talk and even sing in my sleep. While staying with a friend in Brazil, his brother told me that I woke him up singing "So Happy Together." At a Youth Conference, my roommates complained when I woke them up singing "I'm Trying to be Like Jesus." As a child I was woken by my mom yelling at me and my older brother, David. Apparently we had woken her up first by yelling at each other in an actual conversation, while we were asleep.
Quirk 5
Sleeping in grosses me out. I remember my teenage years and sleeping in on the weekends, but now that grosses me out too. 6am is good for me, 8am is fine, 10am is the absolute limit (without cause of course). When people tell me they sleep in past 10am regularly, it seriously grosses me out.
Quirk 6
I can eat a whole bag of Oreo Cookies with a half gallon of milk three time per week and not gain a pound. I really do enjoy eating right, though it is tough at times. Eating healthy produces more energy to do more, requiring more energy and more fuel. For breakfast I have to eat two servings of oatmeal and yogurt. Throughout the day, I snack on a pound of fresh vegetables. Lunch consists of two sandwiches stacked with meat, cheese, and other toppings on whole wheat bread. After lunch I will have two fruits (usually apples and bananas). By the time I get home, I am starving and will eat whatever I can find. All this just to keep my energy up and avoid loosing too much weight. When I go to the gym I come home a drink as much as a quart of milk. Just a funny craving I have when I work out.
Quirk 7
I love Texas History. I was born and raised in Texas. I have lived the majority of my life here. Accordingly, I am very familiar with Texas history. Now, I know I do not have any roots in Texas as my parents are both implants. Nonetheless, I feel a deep appreciation for what the early "Tejanos" and "Mexicanos" did to win their own independence from an oppressive government; I believe this shows a great example to the rest of the world, even today.
Quirk 8
I cannot stand the smell of money.
Now then, whom shall I tag... Devon

Umm, you only love cold weather because you have never truly experienced cold weather. Move to Idaho, and then we'll talk. And the Oreo cookie thing ... you should talk to my dad about that one.
Hey! Living in Mexico I bathed with a bucket outside in the wind in winter weather of bellow 50. Not as cold as ID, but that cold air whipping all sorts of wet bare skin is not less than harsh. Fun, but harsh. Hehehe. I remember turning the huge fan on my comp when he was bathing. And you mom calls boys dumb.
"It seriously grosses me out" that is pretty strong language for sleeping in! The only time I have to sleep in past 10 is when people keep/kept me up to late at night! haha :) Those are interesting quirks like the sleep singing! That would be interesting :)
Ok- check out my 8 quirks! I just think we are all a rather Quirky family!
Disclaimer:
Nah. I tried to reexplain my sleeping in statement, but realized that if it were easily explained then it would not be a quirk. I give up. :P
