I now have three nieces and a nephew. I met the oldest when she was still a baby, but until I moved back to Dallas I had not met my other two nieces nor my nephew (who lives in FL so I might not meet him for a while).

I met the youngest my first day back in Dallas (08-16-08). My sister-in-law was in town with her little girl for the week visiting family. They were at my mom's parents' which was on my way in to town so I got to stop off and meet my little niece and say hi to my sister-in-law and grandparents. My niece is the sweetest, she is five months old and took to me right away. I was loving it!

My sister-in-law and niece spent the rest of their stay with my mom, brother and me. One morning in particular, my sister-in-law decided to use my niece as a wake up call. Not only are babies great a drooling, they always seem to be spot on at drooling right on your face.

Later, my mom, sister-in-law, niece, I went out to run errands and just have some fun. While at the Dallas Galleria I as able to put my niece to sleep. Proud moments in the life of an uncle. I am eating this up now before she gets older and teethes.

Hey Jeff! It has definitely been quite the stretch of time since we've been in touch but I figure a long lost cousin can comment on your blog and count that as being back in touch, right? :) I guess keeping in touch is getting easier and easier. Well, anyway, I will most likely continue to follow your adventures.
Good work with your niece. Putting a baby to sleep is not as easy at it looks, huh?

Um, I am seriously behind on the cousins' kid count. Whose kids are these?

My blog is still public. When I asked to post these images I was asked to be mindful of not posting identifiable my niece. Just e-mail me and I'll give you all the details. honeycutt.jeff@gmail.com
