All Moved In

Those of you who keep up with my facebook status know that last weekend I moved back to California. Emily and I are excited to get our lives started together and we knew that it would be a question of one of us uprooting and moving to be with the other. After careful consideration, it became clear that I needed to move out here, and last Friday evening, I left town with an over loaded car.

Other than a 4hr MX delay in El Paso, the trip went fantastically well. I love how cheep gas is now; I made it on less than $120!

Here are some shots from my new room.

This is my computer area. It's a good thing that I have down sized from my desktop to a simple lap top, otherwise there is no way this would have worked out.

When I moved in, I was surprised to see that Emily and her mom (who is visiting SoCal this month from TN) had already beaten me to the room. Em made me the sweetest house worming gift. The corkboard is coverd with meaningful photos and sweet little love notes of all the reasons why my baby adores me. Em is the bestest! (And firefox spell check things bestest is a word)

Back to the simple life. Almost like being a missionary again; all my posessions are clothes and books :) Though, at least as a missionary I never slept on the floor.

Look ma', you can be proud that you little man is all grown up and neat and organized!

Ahh, life is good!

Ooops. I forgot to add that the sheets and comforter were also part of my home worming gift along with a pillow and the unseen mattress pad. It's nice having an extra set of sheets for laundry day.

And thanks Katie. I am definitely looking forward to getting to know you, Dale and the girls better. If only Emily didn't have so much family to keep us busy EVERY weekend :-)
