Little Facts

Bold everything you've done. Pretty Simple and Fun :)

1. Started your own blog - Here it is

2. Slept under the stars -All the time growing up.

3. Played in a band

4. Visited Hawaii - Family Vacation 1998. I think this was the first time our family actually spent time together without ANYONE bickering or fighting. This was the last time all of my siblings and I were together. Dave left on his mission a few years later and for the following five years someone was on a mission.

5. Watched a Meteor Shower
- Again, all the time growing up.

6. Given the widow's mite to charity
- I changed this one and think this sounds better.

7. Been to Disneyland
- In high school we were invited every year to attend Disney Music days and perform in the park. The trip from Seattle was long enough that we only went once while I was there.

9. Held a praying mantis
- I was kid at some Earth Day event.

10. Sang a solo - It's been about four years, but I used to sing in church. It started back in high school. 11. Bungee jumped - I actually think I lost my drive to try this. I'm sure if the opportunity presents itself I would, but I do not have a desire anymore.

21. Had a pillow fight - The best pillow fight I ever had was with Elder Guzman. Though we didn't use pillows. We used our laundry bags filled with two weeks of clothes. We had to stop when we realized that throwing that much weight around on the second floor was causing the whole house to sway. It felt like it was going to tip over. :)

22. Hitch hiked
- The one time I remember was when I missed my bus to institute. Wait, and a lot on the mission. President Torres was not happy when he found out. I just figured they were great teaching opportunities.

23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill - I like to call them Preemptive Sick Days. You know, when you feel it coming on and you know if you wait until you can no longer work than you'll be out for two or three days and your entire weekend. An ounce of prevention beats a ton of cure.

24. Built a snow fort
- I went snow caving and we decided to take it one step further.

62. Gone whale watching

63. Got flowers for no reason - Well, not for no reason because the reason was because somebody cared enough to buy my flowers for no reason.

64. Donated blood, platelets or plasma - I am bad about doing this. Every time I nearly pass out so I need a DD. Platelets are the funnest because the machine pumps your blood back in after it's been cooling off a bit. This sensation of cold starts flowing through your body. Oh, and the additives they put back in your blood makes it feel like you have a magnet in your mouth. The first time they had to abort early because I lost all the color in my skin. I looked almost grey.

85. Read the entire Bible

88. Had chickenpox
- Been there, done that, have the scares to prove it.

89. Saved someone’s life
- The funny thing is, you never think of it as saving someone's life until it's all over. Up to that point you're just acting on a situation.

90. Sat on a jury

91. Met someone famous - I've got a few names up my sleeve.

92. Joined a book club

- well, this is my favorite beach story. I got tired of trying to get people together to do stuff so I now just plan to go by myself and leave the door open. I did so to the beach one day and was just walking by myself. I stepped on a bee and it stung me - the nerve. I headed toward the guard tower for a first aid kit just to make sure it did not get infected. The life guard was driving away just as I was getting there so I had to waive him down. I could see he was a little excited to see me waiving him down while limping towards him. When I told him it was a bee sting I could see the gears working in his head "Finally, I get to save someone's life." It turned in to a whole lot of show with six on lookers and a few others walking by asking if everything was okay, if they could help.

If you read this, you must do the same.
